At Scuba Moraira we dive nearly every day. In the summer months it can be up to 5 times a day. The dives are generally done from our new dive boat which is moored in the award winning Moraira port.
We have dives from 6 metres to 40 metres depending on your experience and qualification. We are fortunate in this area to have a wealth of varied and fascinating sea life and underwater topography. There are the several shallow dives in and around Moraira where we can observe huge shoals of juvenile fish such as Wrasse, Bream, Damsel fish and Grouper. Sometimes we are lucky enough to see huge shoals of circling Barracuda. Many sites have fascinating arches and swim-throughs that form underwater gardens.
For the more experienced we have few more challenging dives with underwater mountains that contain underwater tunnels that provide homes for some very large Conger and Moray Eels. Present on most dives are various members of the Octopus family who are usually friendly enough to come out of there shelters to say hello.
During the week we also offer Night dives, where we can see the habits of the more nocturnal creatures. Scorpion fish come out to lounge around, hermit crabs bustle about collecting food, Lobsters, Octopus, and Moray Eels venture from there holes to hunt.
During the boat ride to one of over 25 different dive sites, keep an eye out for the strange looking Sunfish warming themselves on the surface of the sea. If we are very lucky we will be joined by a pod of Dolphins as they cruise along the coast.

That is why we offer PADI´s Discover Scuba Diving experience. We will give you a short briefing on how the equipment works together with some handy tips like showing you how to clear your mask. Then we introduce you to the underwater world. The sheltered bay opposite the dive centre is perfect for anyone who has not tried scuba diving before.
We walk in off the beach so the depth gently increases whilst you get your confidence. You will amazed what you will see down there.

We have been one of the few dive centres on the Costa Blanca to have been asked by the Ecological University of Alicante to monitor the Posidonia (Sea Grass).
Contrary to popular belief, Posidonia is not a seaweed but a plant with flowers that grows on sandy seabed's and is exclusive to the Mediterranean Sea. Its presence in the water is a strong indicator of the good quality of the water as it needs water that is clean, transparent and free from contamination for its growth and development.
Its green leaves are long and flat and can measure up to 1 ½ metres. These leaves form themselves into large banks of Posidonia which can go from the surface of the water to a depth of 40 metres. Its shoots have an average lifespan of about 30 years.
Scuba Moraira takes an active part in environmental cleanup days. We work in conjunction with the Town hall and regional government to ensure the sea bed is rubbish free.
If you live here or come to the area regularly or just want to a lot of dives why not join our Dive Club?
We also have regular BBQ's, treasure hunts, Beach cleanup days, environment protection schemes, Paellas and Party's. Contact us for more information.
